Senior students:
The WorkKeys test is being offered at GFC on Wednesday, 11/19. Students trying to qualify for the ND Scholarship may choose to take this test. The cost for the WorkKeys test is $40.50 (or $13.50 for each of the three tests). Remember to check your ND Scholarship dashboard in PowerSchool to see if this test could benefit you. To register for the WorkKeys, please see Mrs. Manske in the counseling office by 11/12.
School Pictures:
School pictures are in and will be handed out in your English class or tutorial. Picture retake or Picture Make up day will be Wednesday, November 19th from 9:00 - 10:00. If you missed pictures and still need a picture packet we have a few left in the main office.
Girls Basketball:
There will be a Girls Basketball Meeting on Monday, November 17 in the Lower Gym at 3:30pm. Girls can turn in their white cards to Coach Mathison at this Meeting.
Annual Dodgeball Tournament
Nothing beats a GFC Dodgeball Tournament and right now you can play for $50! That's only $5 each for a team of 10! Register now for the GFC Dodgeball tournament! All proceeds will go towards the annual Greater Grand Forks Community Pajama Drive! Forms can be picked up in the office and are due November 26th.
Construction and Trades Career Series
The Career Center has joined forces with Scouting America's Exploring program to launch a specialized Construction and Trades Career Series with Construction Engineers. This new series will provide students with an invaluable, hands-on look into the high-demand fields of construction, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, welding, carpentry, and more. These workshops will take place on select early out Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30pm. Stop by the Career Center for more information today!
Building Bridges:
There will be a Building Bridges meeting in room 110 at 3:05 PM on Friday, November 14. Look forward to seeing you there!
Gratitude Jar-
Stop by the library and let us know what you are grateful for! Everyone that fills out a slip of paper letting us know what they are grateful for and puts it into the gratitude jar will be entered to win a prize. The gratitude jar will be out until Tuesday, November 25th.
UND Mock Trials:
Have you considered a career as a lawyer? Stop by the Career Center today to learn about how you can participate in the UND Mock Trials which are taking place on November 11th, 12th, and 19th.
Rydell/True North Career Forum
Are you mechanically-inclined? Do you love working on engines and cars? Sign up in the Career Center today to attend the Automotive and Diesel Career Forum on Thursday, November 20th at Rydell Cars and True North Equipment. North Dakota State College of Science will also be available to share information about their Auto and Diesel Tech programs!
