Boys Hockey Meeting
There will be boys hockey meeting on Wednesday, November 5th at 1:05 pm in the Media Center. Any boys interested in playing hockey for GFC should plan to attend this meeting and bring your white card.
Please Save your pop tabs both at home and at school!!
Grand Forks Central collects pop tabs and soup can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Most of the classrooms have cardboard houses that you can put your tabs into. The library also has a large house that the tabs can be dumped into. If you want collection boxes for home or if you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Hearn. Thanks so much for helping with this great organization!
Senior students:
The WorkKeys test is being offered at GFC on Wednesday, 11/19. Students trying to qualify for the ND Scholarship may choose to take this test. The cost for the WorkKeys test is $40.50 (or $13.50 for each of the three tests). Remember to check your ND Scholarship dashboard in PowerSchool to see if this test could benefit you. To register for the WorkKeys, please see Mrs. Manske in the counseling office by 11/12.
Boys Wrestling Meeting:
There is a meeting at 1:15 on Wednesday, November 5th in the wrestling room.
FAFSA Frenzy!
Attention Seniors! Need help with the FAFSA? The Career Center is hosting a FAFSA Frenzy event on Monday, November 10th. UND and Northland professionals will be available to assist GFC students/families with completion of the FAFSA. Stop in the Career Center for more information and to reserve your spot today!
Rydell/True North Career Forum
Are you mechanically-inclined? Do you love working on engines and cars? Sign up in the Career Center today to attend the Automotive and Diesel Career Forum on Thursday, November 20th at Rydell Cars and True North Equipment. North Dakota State College of Science will also be available to share information about their Auto and Diesel Tech programs!
Book of the Week:
The book of the week at GFC's library is How to Money by Jean Chatzky. This book provides a guide for young people to make smart personal finance decisions, and features advice on starting a business, budgeting, credit cards, investing, and paying for college. This title is in and ready to be checked out!
