Detention:
Students may serve detention Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 7:00am. You must be in the entry way of Door 1, when Mr. Paintner comes down to let you in at 7:00. Detention is also held in the Commons on Saturday mornings from 8:00-12:00 and in the Commons on our Wednesday early outs from 1:00-3:00. All Detention must be served to go to PROM or walk in graduation.


Help with Japanese Festival this summer!
Do you want to participate in the upcoming Japanese Festival at Sertoma Park on June 7th? Well you're in luck! We are looking for students willing to practice a few short festival drumming routines to perform at the festival. Practices are every Monday and Tuesday at Century Elementary School from 4:30 to 5:15 PM.


Career Center Forum:
Did you know JLG designed the Career Impact Academy and the new Altru Hospital? Join us at JLG Architects on Friday, April 24th from 9-11am for a hands-on learning experience about careers in architecture and design. Space is limited to sign up today in the Career Center.


Tug of War!
Our Annual Tug of War class competition will be held at our upcoming Academic Pep Rally next week! Sign up in the office to help support your class. Students must be eligible to compete.


Seniors:
With only about two weeks to go until the May 1st deadline, only 48 out of 248 seniors have turned in a senior photo for the yearbook. There have also been only 48 total baby or childhood photos that have been turned in. Check the list outside Mr. Berglund's room #22 or in the classrooms of Mr. Graves or Mr. Ellingson to see if your photo is in. For instructions on how to turn in a senior yearbook photo, check your school email. Every senior would have received a couple of emails already regarding turning in your senior photo.


Grand Cities Idol is Monday night at GFC!
Come support your top 5 Knight Idol acts performing alongside the top 5 from East Side Idol and Rider Idol. $10 at the door or online. Bring all of your friend. Questions? See Mr. Mercer.


To all students and staff:
The last day to order a 2025-2026 yearbook is also May 1st. The link to order is in the weekly school newsletter sent to parents and will be posted on the GFC Activities X page. If you are not sure if you ordered a yearbook, you can email Mr. Berglund.


PROM TICKETS:
Prom Tickets will go on sale starting next Monday, April 20th. Tickets will be sold in the main hallway during 1st and 2nd lunch. The price of the tickets will be $25 each from April 20-24th and raise in price to $30 each from April 27th-April 30th. TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD ON FRIDAY MAY 1ST! If you are bringing a guest from a different school, do not forget to get your guest permission slip signed by a principal.
