Altru Summer Internship
Altru is currently accepting applications for their Summer 2026 School-to-Career Internship Program. If you are 16 or older, you are eligible to apply for this competitive internship in the areas of ambulance, information technology, radiology, therapy support services, and nursing assistant. Applications are due March 31st! Stop in the Career Center for more information.


Detention:
Students may serve detention Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 7:00am. You must be in the entry way of Door 1, when Mr. Paintner comes down to let you in at 7:00. Detention is also held in the Commons on Saturday mornings from 8:00-12:00 and in the Commons on our Wednesday early outs from 1:00-3:00. All Detention must be served to go to PROM or walk in graduation.


Purchasing a PROM ticket.
Students, If you are planning to attend Prom on May 2nd, you must have all of your detention hours made up in order to purchase a ticket. Tickets will not be sold to anyone until their hours are made up. No exceptions will be made.


Knight Idol
Come vote for your favorite acts this coming Monday night at our 20th annual Knight Idol! Songs by Bob Dylan, Christina Perri, ABBA, Dolly Parton, The Chicks, Fleetwood Mac, The Carpenters, and more! $10 at the door, cash or card. Sorry no passes. Doors open at 6:30 and the show is at 7pm. Your mom wants to go!


Sanford Career Forum:
Sanford MedX is hosting an evening event to learn about careers in Nutrition and Dietetics on Monday, March 30th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Stop by the Career Center for sign-up information!


Attention National Technical Honor Society inductees:
There will be a mandatory registration meeting Wednesday, March 25th after Per 6 or Per 7 in the Media Center. You only need to attend one of the time slots. Bring your Chromebook. If you cannot attend one of the meetings please contact Mrs. Beauchamp or email Mr. Carlson.


Book of the Week:
The book of the week at GFC's library is 49 Miles Alone by Natalie D. Richards. This thriller follows cousins Katie and Aster on a 4-day, 49-mile hike through the Utah desert. Seeking to heal from a traumatic event, they face dehydration, flash floods, and dangerous strangers, forcing them to confront their strained relationship to survive.
